Here’s what we’re looking for in a Director of Nonprofit Capacity Solutions: The Director of Nonprofit Capacity Solutions plays a critical role on our diverse team, leading the Capacity Solutions team and leading projects to foster positive change within the region’s nonprofit sector. The Director of Nonprofit Capacity Solutions should have experience with and ability to: - Provide leadership, supervision, and support to members of the Nonprofit Capacity Solutions Team. - Serve as a trainer and mentor to Capacity Solutions team members, working closely with the VP of Nonprofit Capacity Building to ensure capacity team effectiveness, efficiencies and growth. - Work closely with team members on goal setting, professional development, and performance management. - Maintain visibility into the work and workload of team members to ensure projects are completed on time and at a high level of quality. - Manage relationships and contracts with partner organizations. - Accurately diagnose organizational challenges and provide strategic counsel to nonprofit partners across diverse projects and missions. - Support nonprofit partners with capacity building work in the areas of strategy, operations, marketing, and fundraising. - Be accountable for all aspects of projects, including developing a work plan, communicating with nonprofit partners, managing timelines and budgets, adapting processes to meet partners’ needs, and ensuring quality deliverables. - Utilize key concepts of nonprofit management, for example: communications, fundraising, strategic planning, board development, and workforce development. - Facilitate meetings and processes to successfully bring diverse stakeholders to consensus. - Develop appropriate proposals/scopes of work. - Play an active role in building and managing Causewave’s important partnerships by participating in donor and client events and community presentations. - Leverage, engage and manage relationships with volunteers and external providers to improve project outcomes and timelines. - Manage budgets and timelines to ensure quality outcomes within project scope. - Perform other duties as assigned in support of Causewave’s mission. Preferred experience for this role: • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience required, specifically in roles related to organizational strategy, marketing or fundraising • Supervisory experience • Thrive when thinking strategically • Strong desire to make the world a better place
