COAE Advocacy Agenda
The Council of Agency Executives (COAE) advocates on behalf of nonprofit and social sector leaders to ensure their voices are heard in the policies and decisions that shape our community. Guided by the Advocacy Committee, COAE identifies and champions key policy issues that impact nonprofit organizations and the people they serve.
Grant Awarded for New Shared Services Initiative
The COAE, in collaboration Causewave Partners and CCSI, is launching an initiative program to deliver scalable, fractional staffing accessed by multiple organizations in the areas of Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources.
In November 2025, Assemblymembers Sarah Clark, Harry Bronson, Demond Meeks, and Jennifer Lunsford secured $200,000 to support small nonprofits helping those in need. The COAE is grateful for their support in strengthening the capacity for small and mid-sized nonprofits agencies in the Rochester community. While additional funding is still needed, this support helps move forward a shared services initiative focused on building finance, HR, and marketing capacity for smaller and mid-sized nonprofits.
